Ploiesti Neutering Challenge Day 6

On June 13th we drove around Ploiesti the FPCC van and collected 19 animals to be sterilized as part of our Ploiesti Neutering Challenge Day 6. Added up to the animals sterilized during the previous 5 days, our Ploiesti Neutering Challenge has sterilized so far a whopping 135 animals in a little over 2 months! And the story is only in its raw beginnings.

Day 6 of sterilizations is under the sign of friendship, of real committed friends who have helped our campaign tremendously. Day 6 is in honor of Claudia V and Trudy, two lovely ladies who believed in our Ploiesti Neutering Challenge from the moment we've launched it. Day 6 was also made possible by friends: Maria from SterilizeDogs NL who altruistically donated her birthday gift to sponsor 5 sterilizations, Claudia D who will also adopt very soon one lovely Ploiesti stray, Wouter and the organization Help4Strays, Bianca, Chrissy and Sylvia. Many thanks from the bottom of my heart for the 19 animals they helped sterilize on Day 6. Thank you, dear friends!

To make it even better, other friends delivered more good news recently: Romania Animal Rescue and SterilizeDogs will join efforts to provide 50 sterilizations on a monthly basis in Ploiesti. Please read about the good news here.

But for now, please have a look at some of the animals helped with sterilizations on Day 6:

Rita, one pregnant stray female dog helped on Day 6. Her puppies would not have deserved to be crushed in traffic and endure a painful death.

Another female dog suspected of being pregnant. She recently came out of season- please see the wounds on her body from the male dogs that got over excited while she was in season, causing her these bite injuries. From now on she's spayed, hence she won't have to go through such ordeal ever again.

All in all, Day 6 was another success for our Ploiesti Neutering Challenge. All I can hope for is for many, many more such days to come, until there will be virtually no more puppies and kittens born to be abandoned and suffer short painful lives, ever again!
